My youtube political videos have been becoming more and more popular. When Citizentube, Youtube's politics editor, interviewed John McCain this week, he chose to ask him the question that I had posed in my video. Essentially, my question was about the extent of government power over the individual. McCain had a fantastic response! He answers my question around the 2:30 mark.

It's official, I've signed a lease in Sierra Vista. It's a human resources position with the US Army. I'll spend the first year at Fort Huachucca, then get transfered somewhere else and possibly overseas. I'm going to be making the move on May 23ish. Unfortunately, this means I'm going to miss all you Tucsonians since finals will of ended a week before and you all probably will be back at your respective family-homes. I'm a little nervous about Sierra Vista. It makes Tucson look like Beverly Hills with all the trailer parks around. I couldn't find any restaurants when I was there, but there has to be some other than fast food. The mall has a Dillards, Sears, Victoria's Secret, Radioshack and Hot Topic. That's about it. Where am I suppose to go clothes shopping?

Also, there aren't any Starbucks. Seriously. I looked it up on the internet. The only place to get starbucks is at the Target or the Safeway. There are no standalone Starbucks. How is that even possible??? How am I going to get through a year??

At least I'm going to be close enough to visit Tucson a bunch.

I made a video asking Kucinich his ideas to improve the education system in the US. He actually answered me! Wow..he may be kind of funny looking, but he is so cool!

Supposedly on CNN's The Situation Room today they did a bit on candidates on YouTube. Supposedly they used my picture when talking about people making video answers for the candidates. Did anyone see it? Wolf Blitzer is so awesome!

John Edwards and Bringing About Change

Last week I made a video for Mitt Romney. This week I've done one for John Edwards. His question was "What are you going to do to change the world?" Honestly, it's a pretty lame question, but I figured I'd answer anyways. I also decided to ask him a question on the off chance that he actually watches these videos and may respond.

Ya know what I was thinking today? If Obama won the Democrat nomination and ran with Edwards for VP and they both won....America would have a really good looking administration. Considering the eye sore that our current administration is, it would be a real breath of fresh air.

Oh, and I was offered a really fantastic job today and you'll probably see me back in Arizona sometime soon, but not in Tucson or Phoenix...oh and not in Yuma either (toda yael!--sorry yuma-ins, no offense meant). Let me find out the details before I start announcing anything final though. I've learned from last time.

For any of you who don't feel like taking the time to watch it, he's basically asking a question to the voters and requesting that we make video responses to his question. His question is "What do you think is America's greatest challenge and what can we do about it?"

Anyways, I think it's a really cool idea for a politician to have these youtube "conversations" with the voters. Politicians these days seem completely out of touch with the community, but this is a great way to try to remedy that.

So, I figured I'd do my duty and create a video response. You can watch my attempt here:

Something that makes me angry

Hey guys, check out this article from the Washington Post:

They did an experiment where they had one of the greatest classical musicians in the world play at the DC Metro to see if people walking by during rush hour would notice the talent.

So what happened?

He was completely ignored! They’ve got a bunch of videos up at the article. Listening to his playing it is so beautiful and it’s hard to see how anyone could possibly ignore that. In one hour he only made like $37 and mostly in change. Most people just ran past. A few would linger for a min or so, but for the most part people didn’t even seem to notice him or even look up.

This just makes me really sad for the society we have that doesn’t even notice when something amazing and beautiful is right in front of them.
